Quebec's live-in caregiver immigration program

With Quebec's live-in caregiver immigration program, you may be hired by a Quebec employer as a foreign worker. With this job, you will get a minimum of 1,600.00 $ monthly revenu while you are given room and board for free by the employer.

The program's conditions

The government has certain prerequisites before you can immigrate to Canada and work as a live-in caregiver. You must first have completed with success a minimum of 11 years of schooling (which include grade school and high school). You must also request a Québec Certificate of Acceptance (QCA). With this certificate, you must also have a at least six months of experience in this type of work or have gone through a training program which covers this type of work. This training or experience must have been acquired a maximum of five years before making your QCA request. In order to be able to communicate appropriately, you must also have the ability to understant French or English and the ability to express yourself oraly with one of these two languages. You must also sign a working contract before you can immigrating and start your new life.
